How are the meetings conducted ?
All students join the meeting hosted by a faculty member via a Zoom link. Students in US are assigned in breakout groups to work with students in foreign country in groups of 2-4 students per room. Topics for discussion and list of associated vocabulary words will be distributed prior to each meeting to facilitate discussions among students.
Do I have to show up at every meetings?
While it is important for consistency that tutors show up regularly at weekly meetings, we understand that there are times when illness, schedule conflicts, vacation, connectivity issues, etc will occur. If this is the case, please let us know so coverage can be provided for your group.
How do I sign up as a volunteer?

Do volunteers need to speak another language?
No. Students from other countries will be practicing to converse with native English speaker and will have basic command of the language. You will only need to speak English. Sometimes, you may need to speak slowly and clearly to make it easier for non-native English speaker to understand.
How do you ensure a safe learning environment for students?
All participating students are selected by faculty members . In addition, all meeting sessions are proctored by faculty. We do not disclose students’ personal information.
